There is a broken detente arm as shown in the last picture. The forks slid back and forth easily.

No grinding, catching or fetching up. There are no broken teeth. This turns freely when spun by hand.

This is an original Harley Davidson Sportster 5 speed gear set for the 1994 to 2003 model's. When turned by hand. The shift drum seemed to work. The trap door is not broken and no ears are damaged.
